Member of the Student Welfare department at Taylor's College Student Council during my pre-university years in Malaysia.

What It Involved

Welfare work on a student council means being the person students come to when something isn't right — a policy that doesn't make sense, a facility that isn't working, a concern that needs to get to the right people.

We collected those concerns systematically, filtered and framed them clearly, and brought them to the school administration to resolve. The skill is in the translation — taking something that feels like a complaint and turning it into something actionable.

An early lesson in representing others, not just yourself.
